How to Brew Terrain Brew

Simple Brew Methods

1. Cowboy Brew (Open Fire / Stove / Camp Kettle)

Terrain Brew Cowboy Coffee

Raw. Simple. Uncomplicated.

Cowboy Brew is coffee stripped back to its essentials — water, heat, and time.

How:

  1. Add coarse-ground coffee directly to hot (not boiling) water
  2. Simmer gently for 3–4 minutes
  3. Remove from heat and let grounds settle
  4. Pour slowly, leaving grounds behind

Best With:
Chapada Trail

Brew Mood:
Open air. Firelight. No rush.

2. Cafetière (French Press)

Full-bodied and dependable.

A classic method that delivers depth and balance.

How:

  1. Medium-coarse grind
  2. 1:15 ratio (e.g. 20g coffee to 300ml water)
  3. Brew for 4 minutes
  4. Press slowly

Best With:
Simien Path

Brew Mood:
Early mornings. Steady hands.

3. Pour-Over / Filter

Clean, expressive, and controlled.

Perfect for highlighting origin and clarity.

How:

  1. Medium grind
  2. Slow, steady pour in circular motions
  3. Brew time: 2½–3 minutes

Brew Mood:
Quiet focus. Thoughtful moments.

4. Moka Pot (Stovetop Espresso)

Bold and concentrated.

A strong, traditional brew with rich character.

How:

  1. Fine grind
  2. Fill base with hot water
  3. Brew over medium heat until complete

Best With:
Quindio Ridge 


Brew Mood:
Strong start. Purposeful energy.

5. Cold Brew (Overnight)

Smooth, low-acidity, unhurried.

Ideal for warmer days or easy mornings.

How:

  1. Coarse grind
  2. 1:8 ratio
  3. Steep in cold water for 12–16 hours
  4. Strain and serve
